Acton Announces Partnership with SoCal Penske
At the recent Greater California Livery Association Expo and Trade Show, held this past September in Costa Mesa, Calif., Acton Fleet Sales and SoCal Penske Professional Vehicles announced a collaborative effort to reach operators on both coasts through a sales and service network. Bill Cunningham, general manager of fleet sales at Acton Fleet Sales in Acton, Mass., says that it’s never been done before. A similar announcement was made at New England Livery Association Conference & Expo in Worcester, Mass., held during the same week.
In addition to Cunningham, the collaboration was spearheaded by longtime friends and colleagues Coleman Hoyt, president of Acton Fleet Sales, and Phil Hartz, president of SoCal Penske Auto Group in Torrance, Calif. Greg Maddock, formerly of Lockhart Cadillac in Indianapolis, Indiana, joins the team in Southern California and will serve as West Coast fleet sales director.
“By leveraging the skills and abilities of both companies—Acton and SoCal Penske—we create a nationwide network and sales and service support team that will better serve the limousine and livery business than they’ve ever seen before,” says Hartz. The partnership allows customers to access its service network throughout the United States.
Maddock, who is a veteran Cadillac salesperson, says that the venture will allow customers to have access to all of the major vehicles in the industry, including the Lincoln MKT Town Car and Navigator L, Chrysler 300, Chevrolet Suburban and Yukon XL, and the Cadillac Escalade and XTS.
“[Customers] are going to be dealing with the same people they’ve dealt with for the last 20 years, so they’ll be comfortable and know that they’re important to us, whether they’re a one-car operator or one with many, many cars,” says Cunningham. “We think we’re going to be able to better the experience for the customer.”
