ABC Companies, a one-stop seller of new and pre-owned buses, recently acquired Elkhart, Indiana-based TMC Group, producers of Ameritrans shuttle, midsize, and paratransit buses. The new operating company will be known as Ameritrans Bus. ABC anticipates investing additional capital in the business to increase production and capacity. The small and midsize bus products will continue to be distributed through the loyal dealer network already established by TMC.

“We believe this investment complements our core transit and motorcoach business and strengthens and diversifies ABC,” says Dane Cornell, ABC president and CEO.  “We look forward to growing the business [TMC] founder Al Foris and his team have built.”

ABC, based in Faribault, Minnesota, has eight additional locations in California, Florida, New Jersey, and Texas.
