Chalmers Opens Conversion Company

Jack Chamlers, formerly of Midwest Automotive Designs, has opened a conversion company named Chalmers Automotive in Liberty, Missouri. The company specializes in Sprinter and Mercedes-Benz vans and party buses, as well as mobile office, mobility, and medical vans.

“We have assembled a team that has over 50 years of experience in design, engineering, manufacturing, electronics, and cabinetry,” says Chalmers. “It is so exciting to work with such a dependable group and has enabled me to surround myself with my family and friends.”

Chalmers is joined by his wife, Vernice, and two adult sons and a daughter-in-law. Although Chalmers is aware that it’s an uphill battle to open a company during a recession, he remains positive. “My clients are treated like family. If I bought something and it was not right, I would expect whomever I purchased it from to make it right and that is what we do. Our goal is to build the highest quality product using the finest in materials and accessories for a trouble-free and enjoyable driving or riding experience.”
