Code-Based Network
1-800-GET-LIMO recently announced the official launch of its new national limousine network. The network, led by President Mark Adkins, a 10-year ground transportation network veteran, allows passengers to connect directly to their local 1-800-GET-LIMO affiliate by using their area code.
“We were exploring speech recognition and other tools, but each of them had a drawback,” says Adkins. “I looked down at my office phone and the idea just clicked—each affiliate can use their local three-digit area code as their unique extension.” The service only signs up one company per geographic area.
